Plan is to upload version 1.7 of TFTC tomorrow, but in the meantime I decided to put that Jeep advertisement in game. I probably broke the game making this but I don’t care.
Here’s some fake poster/cards I photoshopped of the three male followers in the bundle. As you may have noticed, for you have a keen eye for such things, they are colored red, white, and blue, the colors of America. Also France. And Liberia. And Taiwan. And Iceland. And North Korea. Okay, so maybe the color scheme isn’t entirely original, but the point is, nobody cares. Not here in America.
For today we dine on hot dogs and buffalo wings and other animals that we hunted to extinction. Why? Because we can. There are no sad toy pianos playing America the Beautiful, for it would burst into flames in protest. No, the music of freedom can only be heard through thunderous explosions, played via a symphony of illegal Chinese fireworks. There is nothing more American than that.
Few know that the Greybeards dabble in the fermentation of spirits, and not just the spirit of Dragons. They also have a distillery hidden in the bowels of High Hrothgar. Where they obtain the grapes for their wine is uncertain, but we can only assume that Ivarstead cannot be their only supplier of goods and supplies. The Riesling above awakens the drinker to glory and freedom of the skies, and seeing the world as only a Dovah can.
For the Dragonborn the cellarmaster brewed a special red wine, one that speaks of courage, power, and celebration of life. How fitting that “Zin” in Dragon means “Honor” for a Zinfindel.
And lastly, brewed by one of High Hrothgar’s young (and a bit lusty) apprentices, comes the Passion Port, guaranteed to bring out the beast in every Dovahkiin. Enjoy this dark dessert after a savory course of barbequed bandit.
These are my actual labels for my first batches of wine. Who knew a game could be so inpirational?
Here’s Patrick Mahoney, who previously voiced Arelthor in Interesting NPCs, voicing Virgil for the mod Factory Sealed. He done good.
In website news, I’ve also been playing around with new WordPress themes for the dotcom site, but haven’t found one that serves all our various needs better than the one it currently has. If anyone knows of a good one speak now or forever hold your peace. In fact, I’d be willing to buy one if it makes browsing easier.
UPDATE: It looks like rebuilding it from scratch worked and it’s currently stable. But I’m going to test it myself for about a week before I remove the redirect. First I have to upload all the old files – images, avatars, and the like, and see if it breaks again. Next I’m going to try bringing back non-essential plugins – music player, oembed, etc – one by one until it’s finished.
I’ve also been looking into added security measures, like having an e-mail sent to me every time an administrator logs in so I can make sure the IP matches mine. That and other plugins that check whether core files have been altered. Sorry to anyone who had to see those annoying ads, instead of the usual advertisement of Kanye West making out with himself.
Over the weekend, it appears something went wrong with the 3dnpc.com website. While it worked fine for the most part, occasionally clicking on a link would send you to an advertisement spam or generate an equally annoying pop-up.
The only change I made to the site over the weekend was trying Google Adsense as a footer banner, but I’m not sure it’s related as removing the widget didn’t seem to correct the issue. So I’m moving everything back to 3dnpc.org where it’s safe and warm. Right now I’m backing up all the files so I can delete everything and build it up from scratch.
Okay so with the holidays I’ve had a little more free time than usual, although I oddly have used it to do nothing but procrastinate. Anyways, here is another photoshop spawned from the art of Numeriku, Mel, and Kayla Marquez.
