Atomic Radio – Blast Radius

Here’s a commercial for one of the many new products introduced in Fallout 4, Blast Radius. It’s a parody of an old Roger Maris commercial where he looks into the camera with dead eyes and reads a cue card about his exciting new board game.

You can download a replacer version of the mod here, I don’t think I’m going to put it up on Nexus until the kit comes out, but we’ll see. I’m not entirely sure why the vanilla radio station randomizes tracks so poorly, but there might be a method to what music they want to play when and where. I know time conditions didn’t really work all that well for Fallout 3, but I do want the horror shows and late night talk segments to play later in the day.

Fallout 3: Atomic Radio – PSA on Marriage

Here’s a sample from an upcoming PSA for the Atomic Radio mod, whose cast grows larger by the day. This one was done by Rosalyn ‘blarghbleh’ Meney, but other newcomers include Trevor “Teky” Hutchins, Roksys, Lynkstar, Antonio Vesagas, Fairfieldfencer, Gabi King, Victoria Bowes, Goose Boose, Dark Aeolus, Mippa, and Mindwinder. The next update should breach the 3 hour mark as well.

If you’re interested in helping out, you can check the casting call page on this website, or find the roles on CCC here and here.

Fallout NV Mods: Generic NPCs – Pollock, Gumdrop and Chainsaw

Here’s some more NPCs for New Vegas. Still working on getting Chainsaw voiced, but Pollock (Tyler Shwed) and Gumdrop (Alienslikechocolate) are done. I’m probably going to merge these dialogue and story based NPCs with the background ones I showed earlier because there simply aren’t enough of them to justify an additional mod. Just have to figure out how to do that first.

In any case, with Fallout 4 on the horizon, I’m hoping to wrap up these bits and focus solely on expanding the radio, at least until I get a better idea of what Fallout 4’s needs are.

Fallout NV Mods: Background NPCs – Frank and Bill

While some of the generic background NPCs can fit into any environment, whether it be FO3, FNV, or FO4, some interactions will be limited to specific games. For example, one of the key conflicts in Fallout: New Vegas is the war between the Legion and the NCR, so I figured there should be mention of it in Goodsprings, just to help set the background for the story as well as make the war something the locals talk about with each other. AJ Dembroski and James McLauchlan voice the characters.

Fallout NV Mods: Velius – A Legion Companion

Here’s a character that’s been in the works for some time, an ex-Legion companion for Fallout: New Vegas. Velius is voiced by Dazedblackbird and is unique for a variety of reasons, the most notable of which is he’s transgender, and how he reconciles that reality with the misogynistic attitudes of his peers is something I felt was worth exploring. He also can do some serious ninja shit too, as seen in the video.

Fallout 3 Mods – Atomic Radio: Drug PSA

Here’s another radio spot to show the different types of content that the channel will have. In addition to movie trailers, comedy skits, game shows, and the like, PSAs like this are a good way to add variety without resorting to musical filler. Here’s David Boffa teaching kids the dangers of marijuana cigarettes.

Fallout 3 Mods: Atomic Radio – Grognak in New York

I’m not sure how much of these I should share, but this one is just too good not to. Voiced by James McLauchlan, who even ad-libbed an extra line that fit in perfectly. The impersonations and delivery are just spot on. I couldn’t be happier with this sketch.
