All right so here’s a sneak peek at some of the new radio stuff courtesy of James McLauchlan and Ginger Roll. This is 1 of 5 new Grognak sketches that will be included in the next update, bringing the total number to eight.
Whenever I make these I’m not entirely sure if it’s what the original artist intended, but the good thing about comic books is there’s a thousand different iterations of the same heroes. So even if Bethesda makes their own Grognak series a la Silver Shroud Radio, it doesn’t invalidate this one.
Here’s a character that’s been in the works for some time, an ex-Legion companion for Fallout: New Vegas. Velius is voiced by Dazedblackbird and is unique for a variety of reasons, the most notable of which is he’s transgender, and how he reconciles that reality with the misogynistic attitudes of his peers is something I felt was worth exploring. He also can do some serious ninja shit too, as seen in the video.
I’m not sure how much of these I should share, but this one is just too good not to. Voiced by James McLauchlan, who even ad-libbed an extra line that fit in perfectly. The impersonations and delivery are just spot on. I couldn’t be happier with this sketch.
Here’s another promo for Atomic Radio, this time a political ad from Presidential candidate Samuel A. Washington. There will be also be an ad from his opponent, Thomas Kennedy, the younger businessman aiming to rid Washington of the Washingtons.
As for when the mod will be released, I think we’re about a month away from having enough content for a bootleg version, but still a ways off from having a music free version.
Death and Taxes is the last of the three mods – along with Quantum Gravity and It Takes a Village – that will be included in the weekend bundle. Rebecca Cardenas voices Izzy Rae Stein, and James McLauchlan and Leara Morris-Clark round out the cast. For those intrepid souls who wish to help test, I should have something up tomorrow after I give it my initial run through.
Here’s James McLauchlan doing what has to be one of the more authentic Super Mutant voices in the community. It’s fantastic. After I give this a thorough examination this afternoon, I’ll be adding it to the list of Fallout mods I’ve released for testing, so look for that later today.
Here’s a couple more people for the Chapel mod. It’s always tough finding older, more mature voices, so it’s always a good thing to have a James McLauchlan in your rolodex. What’s a rolodex? Ask your parents.
In any event, here’s James on lead guitar with Myhairisramen on bass. Hopefully in a month or so, The Mason Dixon Experience will be playing at a computer near you.
